Stationary Life is NOT for us #FullTimeRV

We are the worst stationary family ever.

After a few months of traveling from Florida to California, we went to Indiana to stay with my family. While we LOVED every minute of being with family, we could not stand being in a house seeing the same thing over and over and over. Walking the same sidewalks, going on the same walks, all felt so repetitive. Like we were just…..there. We weren’t actually living our lives.

After house sitting for my mom for a week, she got back and we all got COVID. And to tell you the absolute truth…..we were MISERABLE. Not only because our bodies felt like we were on an episode of The Walking Dead, but because we didn’t even have the energy to get up and go outside. We ALWAYS go on nightly walks to explore and get active. It can range anywhere from just down the street to a full blown hike. So being on lockdown in bed was absolutely depressing.

While stationary we got TONS of needed things done like: getting my wisdom teeth out, finishing our RV renovations, getting the truck serviced, getting all new tires on the RV and a whole lot more. It was NEEDED and a huge weight is lifted off of our shoulders.

This life is every bit of stressful and overwhelming, but there is no bone in my body that would ever want it any other way. Spending days in the car watching the wildlife pass as we move on to our new destination. Getting to our destination and setting up. Going out and exploring our new found spot. AH!!

While we were stationary….ALL I could think about was getting back on the road. Some people call it the travel bug, but I call it a lifestyle.

There are some people in this world who are more comfortable being stationary. Working a 9-5, eat, sleep, and do it all again the next day, but that is 1000% not us and I couldn’t be any more okay with it!
